After grandma parties, the trunk-or-treat, wearing costumes to dance, school parties, neighborhood parties, & the actual trick-or-treating, I have to admit that I was ready for it to be over this year. I actually took down all my decorations while waiting for trick-or-treaters. I know, I am a Halloween scrooge! My kids loved every minute of it though. Not to mention that we got more than our money's worth out of their costumes! This year we had:<div><br /></div><div>A Peacock<div><div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-M3T1ZWGR9sE/Trbq3--D8DI/AAAAAAAABRo/P7o-P7T3g5s/s400/DSCN0317.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5671979028236726322" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>A Zookeeper</div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LkSbLJ-bgxo/TrbqIn6MOfI/AAAAAAAABRc/IgNIn6Hm_j8/s400/DSCN0321.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5671978214592625138" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>A Dead Cheerleader</div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oUy0l2tfZ8g/Trbp2D69GDI/AAAAAAAABRQ/AfyLgAI4bV8/s400/DSCN0326.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5671977895694506034" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-r2tcSVtkuY8/TrbpY1-UsBI/AAAAAAAABRE/aNtPYEQfKVk/s400/DSCN0311.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5671977393734332434" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /><div><br /></div></div></div></div></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>Fred & Wilma Flintstone</div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ozYhDu2DYyU/Trbn5tQ5UkI/AAAAAAAABQs/FlkHAwYop_o/s400/DSCN0290.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5671975759308739138" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-W0Dsk8zpdKQ/TrbpMiP8YrI/AAAAAAAABQ4/dNZcYvprFzo/s400/DSCN0300.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5671977182281097906" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>christiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02282551321292284474noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8171200172897527031.post-13955941055409003452011-10-23T11:15:00.001-07:002011-10-23T11:26:40.100-07:00First Day of School 2011Summer flew by in it's usual fashion. While I was sad to see it end, I was also ready for school to start.<div><br /></div><div>Liv was more anxious this year to find out who her teacher was. She was relieved to discover that she was in the same class as Savannah, Lauren, & Davis. Her teacher is Mrs. Walsh.<div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-s2wt38F9EpQ/TqRbi7_AZ9I/AAAAAAAABPM/x8YEaQhtRM4/s400/DSCN0260.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666754886914566098" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-V6e7Rl-7shY/TqRbRhDDBcI/AAAAAAAABPA/o2yT9JDHe64/s400/DSCN0263.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666754587625981378" /><div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NZ8M_knS78o/TqRbESjkWsI/AAAAAAAABO0/1lKtm1YiR2k/s400/DSCN0262.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666754360397552322" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>Kindergarteners always start a week after the rest of the grades. It was so relaxing. The kids spend hours playing on the beach. William was convinced that there must be dinosaur bones/fossils there somewhere. I, of course, forgot my camera so all I have to show of our weekend are these crappy Iphone pictures. Oh well...you get the idea!<div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 299px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wWyJL_-l3Qo/TqReUJzcWFI/AAAAAAAABQg/n_Sgp1i2ANs/s400/IMG_0120.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666757931461007442" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /> <div><br /></div><div><br /><div><br /></div></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 299px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Vh27vfp_0w0/TqRd4GJAOmI/AAAAAAAABP8/iLdJW7RgFuA/s400/IMG_0125.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666757449441360482" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 299px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IUrWwxE-9gg/TqRdnR9eUVI/AAAAAAAABPk/-H0oUKXMIp8/s400/IMG_0126.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666757160556450130" /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 299px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hcXv5VZmtzo/TqRdxuNwM0I/AAAAAAAABPw/lCibUTtnYYc/s400/IMG_0122.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666757339939615554" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 299px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ot6ikhRIicg/TqReK35JRKI/AAAAAAAABQU/kkBON_wZMmA/s400/IMG_0124.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666757772034262178" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 299px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LSvmgarCg14/TqRdeSB0WMI/AAAAAAAABPY/t40k3izoE0k/s400/IMG_0119.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666757005955848386" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div></div>christiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02282551321292284474noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8171200172897527031.post-28951865394754916762011-10-23T10:34:00.001-07:002011-10-23T10:34:58.373-07:00Baptism DayOlivia was baptized & confirmed on July 9, 2011. It was such a beautiful & special day...one of those days that reminds you what is truly important in life! As I looked around at our family members & closest friends, I felt truly blessed. I was so proud of Olivia. She is an amazing little girl with such a kind spirit. I am so thankful to have her has a daughter. Congratulations, Liv! It is such a fun time of year. I dare say it's William's favorite holiday. The Mansells moved to Dallas, Texas in June. We were so sad to see them go. Especially Will...he played with Mason for hours everyday. While we will miss them everyday, we are excited for them to start this new adventure. Thanks for all of the great memories, Kev & Sarah. You will be truly missed!<div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 299px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-46yv34r5wEs/TqRMf-hiBpI/AAAAAAAABJ8/CO4Pg70QsBk/s400/photo-8.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666738343382222482" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 299px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-H4A694lh9zQ/TqRMEu1ZqiI/AAAAAAAABJk/GS9ievOrsLs/s400/photo-7.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666737875314125346" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 299px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TzyTxCJcKU8/TqRMQ-001aI/AAAAAAAABJw/JRsx-3bFiDM/s400/photo-6.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666738085765109154" /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 299px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MuGiYsK273A/TqRL6ro_rRI/AAAAAAAABJY/O5TR9zcNs-I/s400/photo-9.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666737702658092306" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 299px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FPtKw2usjoA/TqRLvLpZdvI/AAAAAAAABJM/OYP5-dpKRPM/s400/photo-5.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666737505091286770" /></div><div><br /></div>christiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02282551321292284474noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8171200172897527031.post-36436386597998708252011-10-23T10:01:00.000-07:002011-10-23T10:09:47.430-07:00Swing batta, batta, battaWill played his first season of baseball. It was entertaining to watch. He sometimes got a little distracted by "shiny objects" as he ran the bases & may have picked up the bases to see what was underneath them a few times. But overall, he did seem to really like it. "Much better than soccer", he said! <div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FiWS_3fP0fQ/TqRJK0U3Q5I/AAAAAAAABJA/sf_RHuC-roE/s400/DSCN0135.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666734681332597650" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Y7sOpwCUQkQ/TqRIu2UvnlI/AAAAAAAABI0/Be_S8QC_2GY/s1600/DSCN0137.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Y7sOpwCUQkQ/TqRIu2UvnlI/AAAAAAAABI0/Be_S8QC_2GY/s400/DSCN0137.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666734200832630354" /></a><br /></div>christiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02282551321292284474noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8171200172897527031.post-49025522284993288592011-10-23T09:43:00.000-07:002011-10-23T09:54:32.184-07:00Preschool GraduationWill was so excited for his preschool graduation. He is READY for Kindergarten. Mostly because he wants to go to school where his best buddy, Daniel, goes. This was a sad day for mom though. Because Will has a late birthday, I got to have him at home with me for an extra year. He is my little buddy & I know I will be sad to have him go to school everyday. However, his graduation ceremony did not disappoint. Super Start School truly is amazing. The program is the cutest thing I have ever seen. Will was too "embarrassed" to sing & dance so he mostly just stood there with a smile on his face. But I know he loved every minute of it!<div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GupKlyL0Dxg/TqRFPyMO7fI/AAAAAAAABIE/nuHF8eES2JM/s400/IMG_3302.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666730368612363762" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cFXHLLyrvzM/TqRFBQuXlZI/AAAAAAAABH4/zAvPEhcG0zc/s1600/IMG_3307.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cFXHLLyrvzM/TqRFBQuXlZI/AAAAAAAABH4/zAvPEhcG0zc/s400/IMG_3307.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666730119110563218" /></a><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OF49JwOQ_Hg/TqREoWjohDI/AAAAAAAABHs/hGwDzReBjQg/s1600/IMG_3297.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OF49JwOQ_Hg/TqREoWjohDI/AAAAAAAABHs/hGwDzReBjQg/s400/IMG_3297.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666729691179418674" /></a><br /><br /></div>christiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02282551321292284474noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8171200172897527031.post-81651273140797235632011-10-23T09:18:00.000-07:002011-10-23T10:01:03.888-07:00A Star is BornLiv performed with her singing group, Clayton Productions, at several different venues all spring. It seems like the only time I ever post is after I've had pictures taken. Well, we wouldn't want to break tradition. <div><br /></div><div>We had Olivia's baptism pictures (Yes, I said baptism...I cannot believe she is turning 8!) shot a couple weekends ago. It was pretty impossible trying to get these done. I had my heart set on doing them outside in an orchard. Every time we scheduled a time, it ended up raining. What a wet May we've had. Even on this day, a storm started rolling in & it got really windy. But it was so worth it & we got some great shots of Liv. Thanks to Katie & Dan for their patience in getting these taken & for their AMAZING work. They truly captured Liv's personality. </div><div><br /></div><div>Here are some of my favorites (ok, maybe a lot of them):</div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yuntgLfcwlk/TdqB8JXgBWI/AAAAAAAABEQ/vzfE0DbxqM4/s400/lewis20110514_DSC_0598-.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5609939156149994850" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TwuSReQWmzA/TdqC2qA0BeI/AAAAAAAABEg/g4mkeArkOLA/s400/lewis20110514_DSC_0543.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5609940161345619426" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-T8XRpj-XJik/TdqBQYPtZUI/AAAAAAAABEI/dOs1_sh6qVc/s400/lewis20110514_DSC_0538-.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5609938404229604674" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-THDAH531d2A/TdqA1V8avlI/AAAAAAAABEA/bvMCETqdaFo/s400/lewis20110514_DSC_0469.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5609937939755351634" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0gc-FdJWL7E/TdqAYTuzURI/AAAAAAAABD4/ljcqB9J_qgQ/s400/lewis20110514_DSC_0607-.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5609937440945164562" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eCHOYz7W4g4/TdqALkwqM3I/AAAAAAAABDw/B123IKdUPyQ/s400/lewis20110514_DSC_0489-.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5609937222178059122" /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-E2Z2Qj2BqI8/Tdp_s-HbW3I/AAAAAAAABDg/vp8gmgXKjo4/s400/lewis20110514_DSC_0229-.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5609936696408497010" /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-37i3NuvOUTY/Tdp_IkWoT9I/AAAAAAAABDQ/efxN35cyaUs/s400/lewis20110514_DSC_0302.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5609936071017648082" /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-AuG1xhrQYF4/Tdp_6m1t1lI/AAAAAAAABDo/EK8BVEIQcb0/s400/lewis20110514_DSC_0348-.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5609936930678363730" /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-973I30TRUl8/Tdp_dyJMAxI/AAAAAAAABDY/2iW6ZhCGhBw/s400/lewis20110514_DSC_6319-.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5609936435496616722" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PEV66M6DeDQ/Tdp99BCAeLI/AAAAAAAABDI/LzbEOLQaaEA/s400/lewis20110514_DSC_0453-.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5609934773045721266" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>christiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02282551321292284474noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8171200172897527031.post-38867521570979504822011-01-27T15:25:00.000-08:002011-01-27T16:07:39.398-08:00Friends or Sisters? It's 4:30...I should be getting dinner ready (does anyone else dread this time of day?), but instead I find myself sitting in front of my computer. Productive, right? I am beginning to realize that putting my Mac on the desk in my kitchen wasn't the best of ideas. I swear it calls my name! <div><br /></div><div>Ok...on with the point of this post! I enjoyed lunch today with 3 of my dearest friends. As I drove home, I was thinking about how much we have shared together. Our friendships started during the days of big bangs, Wet & Wild lipgloss, Esprit bags, & pegged Girbaud jeans. Now here we are 20+ years later, girls no more. Where has the time gone? I have shared so much with these remarkable women. Our friendships have been full of both laughter & tears. We have seen one another through some of the hardest times in our lives.</div><div><br /></div><div>I am so GRATEFUL for their constant friendship. I am GRATEFUL for their unconditional love, support, & acceptance. I am GRATEFUL that no matter how much time passes, we can always pick up right where we left off. I am GRATEFUL that I can truly be myself with them. They know me as well (maybe even better) than I know myself. I am GRATEFUL for their examples...they each teach me in ways that they don't even realize. Jaime teaches me of genuine kindness & compassion toward others. She finds the good in everyone & everything. Tiffany shows me how to face my trials with grace & courage. Melissa teaches me to be strong during times of adversity & to be loyal to those I cherish. I am so truly blessed to have their friendship(s) in my life. They are my sisters & I love them dearly.</div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_r8f_uAsTvRc/TUIHHVVVbrI/AAAAAAAABC0/6c_QbKreFig/s400/IMG_1258.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5567019911950462642" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>christiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02282551321292284474noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8171200172897527031.post-61260882679764450282011-01-21T09:22:00.000-08:002011-01-21T09:25:16.462-08:00January BluesJanuary... Need I say more? Everyone I talk to says how down they are feeling right now. Why does January do this to us? I find myself feeling very restless which usually results in me ending up at Target... NEVER a good plan! So I have decided to take on a few projects around the house in an effort to avoid the "Target trap." How are you fighting the January blues?christiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02282551321292284474noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8171200172897527031.post-54105982132472566082011-01-11T07:34:00.000-08:002011-01-11T18:25:48.674-08:00GratefulA friend of mine designs fabulous gratitude journals. The purpose of these journals is to write down something that you are grateful for each & every day. Being grateful changes your attitude & outlook. It helps you to see the good in every situation. So I have taken this challenge... At first I was a little leery, but I can already see the benefits of doing it.<div><br /></div><div>I hate mornings. I am NOT good at them...my college roommates can attest to this! Anyhow, my morning today began as usual: fighting with the alarm clock by pushing snooze several times; finally getting out of bed only to realize that I have once again gotten up too late; muttering a choice word under my breath. Not a pretty picture, right? As I lifted Lyla Jane out of her crib, she greeted me with a huge smile, wrapped her arms tightly around my neck, & said, "Ma-ma, I wuv 00!" Instant attitude change. This is one of those parenting moments that make it all worth it. So today I am GRATEFUL for these 3 beautiful children whom Heavenly Father has entrusted to me. I am GRATEFUL for their sweet spirits & unconditional love. I am GRATEFUL for the quiet moments like the one I had with Lyla this morning that buoy me up & remind me what is truly important in life. Today I am GRATEFUL!</div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 308px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_r8f_uAsTvRc/TSx8W3aVixI/AAAAAAAABCc/nXHfQZrM_uE/s400/Lewis08_0019.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5560956372169100050" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>christiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02282551321292284474noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8171200172897527031.post-71787340601396295902010-12-11T21:08:00.000-08:002010-12-11T22:14:36.895-08:00GQI had to share this picture of William. What was I thinking, right? The second week of November is now referred to as "Birthday Central" in our house. Those of you who know me well, know how much I LOVE all things birthday...especially when it comes to kids' birthday parties. We kicked off the festivities this year at IncrediblePizza with Nate's parents. Officially a little boy. Old enough to start elementary school. Embarrassed to have mom give him kisses in front of his friends. Tall enough to ride the "big" rides at Disneyland. Over "Lightning McQueen" & "Thomas the Train." Even though it makes me sad to see him get older, I am in love with the 5-year old version of him. He continues to be the sweetest boy. William LOVES life. As Grandpa Jerry says, no one has a much fun as Will. He is so creative & has an amazing imagination. He has a thirst for knowledge & I never tire of his questions. This boy has his mommy wrapped around his finger for sure!<div><div><br /></div><div>Will's current likes are:</div><div>1. Dinosaurs, dinosaurs, dinosaurs. Oh & did I mention dinosaurs?</div><div>2. Volcanoes</div><div>3. Skeletons & the human body</div><div>4. "Creating" - give him a roll of scotch tape & some popsicles sticks & he's one happy kid!</div><div>5. His friends - This boy is ALL about playing.</div><div>6. School - Every morning is started with the question, "Is today a school day?"</div><div>7. His mom - Always has been his mommy's boy. He still loves to cuddle!</div><div>8. Legos</div><div>9. Outings with grandma - The dinosaur museum is usually his first choice. Grandma's a good sport!</div><div>10. Bathroom talk - Seriously, what's with boys & bathroom talk? Who knew the word "fart" could be so funny.</div><div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_r8f_uAsTvRc/TPnUANCU9KI/AAAAAAAAA-Y/uOwbs5ku0jk/s1600/IMG_2807.JPG"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_r8f_uAsTvRc/TPnUANCU9KI/AAAAAAAAA-Y/uOwbs5ku0jk/s400/IMG_2807.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5546697516047987874" /></a><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>Happy Birthday, little man. All of the sudden I noticed that it was a little too quiet (never a good thing!). I began to look around the house for them & finally noticed that the door to Olivia's bedroom was closed. This is what I found! You can't tell from the pictures very well, but William's face is covered in makeup. They thought it was absolutely hilarious... I guess even little boys like to play beauty parlor now & then.</div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_r8f_uAsTvRc/TPQt5f7YDVI/AAAAAAAAA-Q/faGjxC3IWxs/s400/IMG_2764.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5545107507046255954" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_r8f_uAsTvRc/TPQtvdQAMcI/AAAAAAAAA-I/kxjkfsQY5r4/s400/IMG_2765.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5545107334528774594" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>christiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02282551321292284474noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8171200172897527031.post-36055555888049321802010-11-27T20:26:00.000-08:002010-11-27T20:46:34.217-08:002 Years Old!I can't believe our sweet "Janie girl" is two. CRAZY!!! She seems so much more grown up to me at this age than her brother & sister did. She is a spitfire & is so full of life. She talks non-stop & keeps us really busy! She is really strong-willed & definitely holds her own with her brother & sister. We love her spunky personality... Nate & I are already worried about what she's going to be like as a teenager! Her current likes are:<div><br /></div><div>- Minnie Mouse & "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse"</div><div>- Winnie the "foo"</div><div>- William: She loves to wrestle with him & thinks he is hilarious. No one can make her laugh like him.</div><div>- Tomatoes: Seriously the only thing she ever wants to eat.</div><div>- Swedish Fish: She's her daddy's girl</div><div>- Books: Especially "Goodnight Moon" & "10 Monkeys on the Bed"</div><div>- Her monkey feet p.j.'s</div><div>- Grandma "Nina"</div><div>- Her bottle: Not proud of this one, but this girl will NOT take a sippy cup. I know, I know... It's got to go! I am taking suggestions of how to get rid of it.</div><div>- The phrase "Oh Yeah"</div><div><br /></div><div>Happy birthday, Lyla Jane! We all love you so much & can't imagine our worlds without you. You make our home so fun!</div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_r8f_uAsTvRc/TPHdkK_oxfI/AAAAAAAAA-A/Jl79-gqfKHc/s400/IMG_2812.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5544456229766088178" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>christiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02282551321292284474noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8171200172897527031.post-27135595368636662152010-11-27T20:23:00.001-08:002010-11-27T20:26:35.221-08:00First SnowfallWilliam always anxiously awaits the first snowfall. This year was no exception. Once he woke up & looked out the window, he couldn't get outside fast enough. Of course, his buddies Daniel & Jake joined in for the fun!<div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_r8f_uAsTvRc/TPHZvsWlEmI/AAAAAAAAA94/rnuL9RKMwQg/s400/IMG_2763.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5544452029652734562" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>christiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02282551321292284474noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8171200172897527031.post-20632518228099626522010-11-27T20:03:00.000-08:002010-11-27T20:21:42.118-08:00Halloween 2010Halloween 2010 was crazy as usual! We definitely got our money's worth out of the kids' costumes...both grandma's parties, trunk-or-treat, school parades & parties, & 2 birthday parties all led up to the big night. William was so into Halloween this year! Holidays just keep getting better & better as my kids get older. While I admit that I was glad when the last trick-or-treater came, we all had a great time!<div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">A "Punk" Witch (emphasis on the "punk". It is always fun to see all of the students running through our neighborhood. I was so proud of her this year because she actually ran...Last year she "wasn't into running" as she put it & walked the whole way with her teacher (I think she came in dead last for the first graders). I had to laugh & couldn't argue with her because I hate running too!</div><div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_r8f_uAsTvRc/TNynu2bA_0I/AAAAAAAAA84/GQIrL_dr2PQ/s400/IMG_2719.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5538486065083514690" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>She also lost her other front tooth...Just in time for Christmas!!! She has been singing "All I want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth" ever since. Or in our case, 3 trips! My kids look forward to this every year. They love to pick out their favorite witch. William, of course, loved the one using the outhouse (what is it with boys & potty humor?). I didn't end up with any pictures of Liv. I took her over UEA weekend... HUGE MISTAKE! It was so crowded you could barely move.
